Choose a neutral tablecloth, a reusable banner, a cake stand or serving plate, and cloth napkins. Add ribbon in two colors you love. A smaller set that works together is more useful than a box of unrelated themes.

Create a paper pocket

Store blank place cards, sturdy colored paper, and envelopes flat in a folder. Keep scissors and adult-use tools in a separate secured container. Make a few blank tags now so future gifts are easy to finish.

Label by job

Use small pouches for hanging supplies, tabletop details, and paper pieces. Add a simple inventory card to the lid. Check that pieces are clean and dry before putting them away.

Give it a spending rule

Buy something new only when it fills a specific gap for an upcoming event. Borrow an occasional piece before buying another bin. A celebration box should save time and space.
